As a technologist, Kelsey provides technical support for the production team on missing middle townhouse projects. From the development permit through the building permit phase, Kelsey ensures projects are drawn to accurately meet stringent Alberta building code requirements to support a smooth permitting process for both the clients and the firm. Kelsey has been working in the office with FAAS since January 2024 for her final semester at SAIT in the Architectural Technology Diploma program and has recently moved into a permanent full-time position. Kelsey has pushed the boundaries both in-class and in-office by supporting SAIT’s new Work Integrated Learning program through the School of Construction. This allows students to connect with industry partners in their final semester to gain real world experience for their capstone projects. Kelsey says the best part of working at FAAS by far are the multi-talented people who come together to tackle challenging projects, the fun vibe of the office, and the unlimited support. When she’s not in the office you can find her working as a construction volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, supporting her husband’s many entrepreneurial goals, and taking her kids on new adventures.
