In his role as the Design Manager, Ryan leverages over 8 years of experience at FAAS in leading the design team, fostering exploration and collaboration while ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects while working in tandem with the Production Manager. Ryan received his Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Calgary, which combined with his years of experience has allowed him to garner the skills to become the design manager of the firm. He has gained recognition as the project manager on the MUDA-award winning General Block project and many other projects. His favorite project that he has had the opportunity to be apart of, is SAM Centre, the year-round experience center for the Calgary Stampede and besides being actively involved on the design of this significant and innovative structure, SAM as been his favourite due to the experience of being able to work in close partnership with Diamond Schmitt Architects. Ryan values the heart of FAAS - the commitment of the teams ability for inventive design and a meaningful culture. Outside of FAAS, his interests includes urban travel, the pursuit of searching for rare, wild-fermented ales, and practicing the art of crafting devastating puns.
