Meet Sandra, our Senior Architectural Technologist, who will soon be beginning her maternity leave in December as she welcomes her first born into the world, a baby girl! Sandra is responsible for combining design concepts, structural requirements, and constructability, to produce projects that the entire team can be proud of. She received her Architectural Technologies diploma in 2012 from SAIT and has been developing and refining her skills as a technologist ever since. Out of all the projects she has been a part of, her favourite one is Gallery First and Tenth, our 18-storey mixed-use development in Victoria Park with beautiful views of downtown Calgary and the beltline, which has recently been approved by the Calgary Planning Commission. Working at FAAS has allowed her to be a part of a dynamic, collaborative team with a diverse set of technologists and designers, fostering constant growth and learning opportunities. Beyond work, Sandra is one of many cat lovers here at FAAS, she is also involved in various sports, and enjoys board games with friends and family.
